The Dental Service operates clinics at both the E.W. Bickle Centre for Complex Continuing Care and University Centre, serving inpatients and outpatients whose medical, physical and mental conditions make it difficult for them to visit private dental offices.

As a recognized dental clinic of the University of Toronto, we serve as a teaching facility for undergraduate and postgraduate dental students.

Highlights of our service:

Our dentists have additional training and experience to work with medically and physically compromised patients.
The dental treatment rooms can accommodate stretchers and wheelchairs.
We have special equipment that makes it possible to provide dental treatment to persons in wheelchairs.
We have modified toothbrushes to enable patients with swallowing problems to brush their teeth.
We offer alternatives to regular tooth brushing such as mouth rinses.
