Refer a patient to Toronto Rehab for outpatient assessment and treatment

The Neurology Service is a fee-for-service outpatient assessment program for individuals who have sustained a head, brain or neck injury, usually through a work-related incident. Costs for this service are usually covered by insurance programs.

Clients typically have cognitive, physical, neurological, psychiatric or social issues but can carry out activities associated with daily living. An inpatient bed can be arranged for someone needing 24-hour support during assessment.

Assessments often involve a number of different rehab specialists and can be tailored to meet a patient’s specific needs. Clients requiring diagnostic tests or consultations, such as magnetic resonance imaging or ear, nose, and throat (ENT) evaluations, will be referred appropriately.

Based on their assessment, the team will make recommendations regarding:

  • further medical and/or psychiatric treatment
  • psychosocial management
  • community re-integration
  • returning to work

A return-to-work coordinator is available to provide a variety of services focused on assisting clients to return to work in a safe and timely manner.

Recommend Toronto Rehab to patients requiring a neurological assessment so they can benefit from this exceptional service, which:

  • Provides clear diagnostic and prognostic guidance to clients, family and referral sources
  • Helps clients reintegrate into family, community, work and life
  • Provides education and consultation to patients regarding outcomes and ongoing pharmacological management
