Nov.-Dec. 2002 Existing parkette to be replaced with parking spaces, to offset loss of spaces in main lot. At City's request, there will be no entrance to these spaces from Dunn Ave.

Nov. - Dec. 2002 Driveway to loading dock will also become entrance to new staff parking lot. City is opening Close Ave. to two-way traffic between Springhurst Ave. and the driveway.

Dec. 2002 Two houses owned by the hospital will be put up for sale, to raise funds for upgrading of other houses owned by the hospital.

Dec. 2002 -
Jan. 2003
New, fenced playground for toddlers and pre-schoolers attending Sunflower House to be located south of the centre. Temporary for duration of construction.

Dec. 2002 -
Jan. 2003
Driveway becomes the only entrance and exit to main parking lot during construction. Will become an exit only when construction is completed.

Dec. 2002 -
Jan. 2003
Existing driveway to main parking lot will become child drop-off and pick-up zone (no tokens needed). No more access to main parking lot from driveway.

Dec. 2002 -
Jan. 2003
A new driveway for construction vehicles will become entrance to the main parking lot when construction is completed.

Jan. 2003
Hoarding (safety wall) erected around construction site, and construction begins.

Jan. 2003 During construction, school employees and hospital students will not be permitted to park in hospital lots, to ensure that spaces are available for hospital staff and visitors.

Spring 2003 New, landscaped area to be put in by hospital for public use.

Spring 2004 New parking spaces with designated area for child drop-off and pick-up, and a new playground for pre-schoolers that is 20% larger than the current playground.

Spring 2004 New walkway for taking children between Sunflower House and school.
