Hillcrest Centre |
Admit/Discharge Volunteer |
Volunteers, under the supervision of Admitting and Reservations Clerk, assist the patients in becoming accustomed to Hillcrest Centre and / or facilitate the completion of the Satisfaction Survey upon discharge. |

Movie Night |
Volunteers, under supervision of Admitting and
Reservations Clerk would be responsible for the
organizing, implementing and smooth running of a weekly
social event at Hillcrest Centre - a movie night for the
patients. |

Lyndhurst Centre |
Administrative Volunteer
|
The reception volunteer will provide assistance to the Psychiatry Clinics, visitors, and outpatients. Additional responsibilities include filing and photocopying. Volunteers should expect to commit to at least one 3 hour shift per week. Monday, Wednesday |
| Community Accompaniment Volunteer |
This volunteer assists in-patients who are going into the community for various appointments (e.g. medical, legal, etc.) via wheelchair taxis, and assists with orientation and mobility while in the community.
Ideally, volunteers can commit 2x per month for
approximately 4 hours each. Monday to Friday daytime. |

| Socialization Support Volunteer |
This volunteer's role is to enrich the quality of life for patients by providing one-to-one companionship and assisting with the promotion of daily living skills. Monday to Saturday evenings |

Computer Coach |
The role of the computer coach is to provide direct one-on-one coaching and assist patients to increase their computer knowledge, skills and confidence. Volunteers should expect to commit at least one day per week for 2-3 hours. Monday to Friday daytime. |

University Centre |
Information Kiosk Volunteer |
The Information Kiosk volunteer’s role is to welcome and assist patients as they arrive and depart. The Information Kiosk volunteer will provide general hospital information, directions and assist patients and visitors with other requests as required. |

Administrative Support -
Volunteer Resources |
Volunteers
needed to assist with administrative duties in the
Volunteer Resources department. Duties may include:
filing, data entry, document creation and database work. |

Club 550 Luncheon Volunteer |
The Club 550 Luncheon volunteer provides company to the patients as they go to and from the event as well as socialize with the patient throughout the meal. The volunteer will be provided with an opportunity to learn about food requirements and restrictions based on the rehabilitation program. |

Queen Elizabeth Centre |
Van Driver |
The role is to provide transportation for patients to out trips, recreation activities, family functions, and to view other living arrangements as part of discharge planning. The van is owned and operated by Toronto Rehab. Trips are usually within an hour's radius of Toronto. Volunteers should expect to commit to at least one half day per week. |
Chaplaincy Volunteer

The volunteer assists patients in meeting their spiritual needs by escorting them to and from service or hymn sing. Other duties include socialization, support and to encourage patient interaction and participation. Volunteers should expect to commit to at least 2-3 hours per week. |

This role is to assist staff with administrative duties in the Specialty Clinic area and Volunteer Resources. Duties may include: welcoming patients, filing, data entry and telephone work. Hours are Monday to Friday during day hours. Volunteer should expect to commit to
a minimum of 3 - 5 hours weekly for 6 months. |

Pharmacy Volunteer Assistant |
This role is to assist the staff in Pharmacy in providing clinical and drug distribution services. An excellent opportunity for students enrolled in a university Pharmacy program to be exposed to aspects of the profession, including operations, services and experience in a rehabilitation centre. Position available Monday to Friday during day hours. Volunteer should expect to commit a
minimum of 3 -5 hours weekly for 6 months. |

Day Programs Assistant |
This role to assist volunteers who run programs during the day which provides company and socialization for patients in a group setting. The volunteer will be provided with an opportunity to learn about food requirements and restrictions based on the rehabilitation program. Position available Mondays 12:30 -
3:00pm and monthly on Tuesday from 11:30 - 1:30pm. |

Gift Shop Attendant
|
The role is to provide sales and service assistance in the gift shop and to provide good customer service to clients, family members, visitors and staff. Volunteers should expect to commit to at least 3 hours per week. Volunteers needed for shifts during
the day. |

Rumsey Centre |
AV
Support Volunteer (Cardiac Program)
|
The volunteer would set up the AV systems for presentations and update the plasma screen information. Shifts available: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday day and evening; Wednesday evenings; Friday mornings. |
