Spinal Cord Conference
Conference Participation

There are many ways that you can participate in the 2nd National Spinal Cord Injury Conference: The Evolving Architecture of Patient Care, Education and Research. You can be part of the conference by presenting your research and best practice models or volunteer and help make the event a great success.

We invite physicians, clinicians, researchers, nurses, graduate and post-graduate students and persons with spinal cord injury to share new ideas and technologies, innovative programs and research findings by submitting abstracts for workshop and poster presentations.

Deadline for workshop abstract submissions: Closed
Deadline for poster abstract submissions: Closed

Abstract Competition

When applicants submit their abstracts, they must indicate in which category their poster or workshop belongs. The categories are related to the conference's theme: Patient Care, Education or Research. There is also a separate student category.

All abstracts are judged by a national panel of judges with significant expertise in Spinal Cord Injury. All authors submitting abstracts will be scored based on a system of relevant criteria. The authors of the top three abstracts in each category will win a prize and be asked to present their work on the morning of Saturday, October 28. The remaining authors scoring above a certain level will be asked to present their poster at a designated time on either Friday, October 27 or Saturday, October 28.

More information on the competition will be provided in the coming months.
