Poster Presentations

Specific Guidelines for Poster Displays:

  1. Displays may consist of a one-piece poster, or a two dimensional collection of smaller pieces which utilize the panel as a background.
  2. Posters must be HORIZONTAL. The display’s overall size must not exceed the panel dimensions 72" wide x 48" high.
  3. Handouts may not be left on the floor in front of the display.
  4. Business card or brochure holders may be attached to the display panel. 
  5. Displays will be showcased during designated conference hours on November 7th and 8th, 2008.
  6. You will receive an e-mail with the exact date and time you can set-up your poster.

Technical/Visual Details Regarding Poster Displays:

To ensure consistent display quality among all submissions, please include the following on your display:

  1. A title.
  2. The goal of the initiative.
  3. A list of the participants including contact information.
  4. A description in words (minimum 20 point font).

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for:

  1. Setting up and taking down your poster.
  2. Materials needed to attach your poster to the poster boards. Please note that “male” or “hook” Velcro is required on the back of all display components for attachment to the fabric covered panel. For heavier items please ensure that there is sufficient Velcro attached to the items to prevent damage or falling.
  3. All expenses associated with creating your presentation, conference registration and travel expenses for the conference.

Additional Notes:

  1. At least one person on the submission team must be a registered delegate at the conference and all members of the team who want to attend or present must be registered.

Scientific Poster Presentation by Award Wining Recipients:
The session will take place on Saturday, November 8th, 2008. The top three award winners in each category will present their posters, and will be notified by e-mail with more instructions.
 
Awards will be made in the following four categories: 

  1. Patient Care
  2. Education
  3. Research
  4. Students
