Essentials in Cardiac Rehab: Heart to Heart, Toronto Rehab’s 2007 Cardiac Rehabilitation Symposium, is a two-day event touching upon the complexity of the cardiac client and the preferred components of a successful cardiac rehab program. Through keynote addresses, panel discussions and workshops, this event will highlight best practices and provide delegates with a framework for a comprehensive cardiac rehab program.
Cardiac rehab professionals, including physicians, clinicians, rehab therapists, nurses, program managers, policy makers, researchers and students will hear from cardiac rehab leaders whose own programs excel in a variety of areas, such as: women’s heart health, smoking, diagnostics, exercise rehab for stroke, nutrition, fitness, behaviour and pharmacology.
In partnership with the Canadian Association of Cardiac Rehabilitation (CACR) and the Cardiac Rehabilitation Network of Ontario (CRNO), the symposium encourages networking, the sharing of knowledge and a collaborative approach to building awareness and best practices around cardiac rehabilitation for the health of Canadians.
