This must attend event will provide a frontline approach to tackle the issues faced by healthcare professionals who are diagnosing and managing dementia.
Allied health care professionals, including physicians, clinicians, rehab therapists, nurses, program managers, policy makers, researchers and students who deal with dementia related challenges and are invited to:

  • Enhance their knowledge of the current approach to diagnosing and treating dementia
  • Learn about present and future therapeutics for Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders
  • Enhance their skills and competence in managing challenging behaviours associated with dementia

This program will revolve around diagnosis and management of dementia, providing practical tools to address:

  • Comprehensive behavioural management
  • Diversity
  • Balancing safety and quality of life
  • The utility of outcome measurements
  • Sexual issues and behaviours
  • Partnership approaches to care
