Equipment

Help rehabilitation add years to life - with the right tools

Critical to patient treatment and recovery at Toronto Rehab are the equipment and tools used for assessment, therapy, recreation and functional skills training.

Toronto Rehab is committed to ensuring that each and every patient has access to the safest, most effective equipment for their individual needs – and that they have access to it when they need it.

Your support enables us to provide the best equipment available to our patients.

  • Rehabilitation equipment for patients recovering from a stroke or brain injury – for example, interactive electronic systems with special programs to help our stroke and brain injury patients regain coordination and activity in limbs.
  • State-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment for cardiac patients – including specialized cholesterol and glucose monitoring systems, recumbent bicycles, and ECG (electrocardiogram) recorders for patients recovering from various forms of heart disease or related surgery.
  • Specially designed equipment for patients undergoing musculoskeletal rehabilitation - such as body suspension systems that speed patient recovery by allowing patients to walk, run and climb while avoiding the pain often associated with these activities.
  • Equipment for patients who have suffered a spinal cord injury – including weight lifting equipment, such as leg extension, hamstring, and inner/outer thigh machines, used for strengthening legs.
  • Specialized equipment for patients undergoing complex continuing care – such as dynamic shower chairs to promote a patient’s ability to shower independently and pressure reduction mattresses to provide therapeutic relief and comfort.
