Committed Volunteers
Essential to achieving the fundraising goals of the Foundation is a strong, hard-working and committed team of volunteers. Board members play a critical role in fundraising and volunteer development. They also continue to ensure we are fiscally responsible and accountable to our donors for the stewardship of funds held and invested by the Foundation. Additionally, more than 200 volunteers work with us on various other activities and events.
And most importantly, over 4,000 active donors share our passion for advancing the work of Toronto Rehab.
Everything Humanly Possible: The Campaign for Toronto Rehab
Everything Humanly Possible: The Campaign for Toronto Rehab was the Foundation's first campaign since amalgamation in 1998. Funds from private, corporate and foundation donors are supporting the hospital's ambitious capital expansion and renewal which includes the redevelopment of University Centre, the creation of iDAPT-a world class centre for research, renovations to Lyndhurst Centre, and the creation of five Research Chairs. The Campaign successfully met its private sector goal of $60 million in 2009.
A major gifts program continues to support the hospital's ongoing patient care, research and education initiatives including: a Sleep Apnea Chair, research programs in the spinal cord rehabilitation program, and naming opportunities at University Centre as the redevelopment work nears completion.
