Toronto Rehab’s Annual Research Day features a wealth of innovative rehabilitation research. It’s an opportunity for all members of our research community to come together to present their research to colleagues, decision-makers and the public.
Presenters include students, trainees, clinicians, scientists and other research staff. The challenge is to convey the importance of their work in presentations of just one minute. This is an action-packed day that spotlights extraordinary research in an unusual way.
Awards are given for the Best Poster at the master’s, doctoral and postdoctoral levels, as well as the Best Interactive Display. The People’s Choice Award is presented for the best Minute Madness presentation. Student and post-doctoral submissions are automatically entered in these competitions.
Past events have welcomed such guests as The Honourable David C. Onley, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, Dr. Adalsteinn Brown, Assistant Deputy Minister, Health System Strategy Division, Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, and Dr. Philippa Clarke, Institute for Social Research, University of Michigan.
