The Club

A new kind of club

Toronto Rehab welcomes both industry and other research institutions as partners in developing innovative and useful products.

Our industry-friendly Club program brings together private companies and researchers with a common goal: to turn great ideas into real-life technologies and products, enhancing the lives of older persons and those living with disabling injury or illness, and their caregivers.
 

The Club represents a new approach to working with industry. Unlike the traditional technology transfer model, companies are involved in the entire process of product development, right from the start. Companies and researchers work collaboratively.
 

Being in the Club gives companies (who must sign a confidentiality agreement) the opportunity to negotiate a business arrangement if they see something they think they can sell.

Club members also have access to designers, prototype specialists, workshops, labs and equipment that that small companies rarely have themselves. 
 

A growing number of companies are attracted by our Club program, our expertise and our unique testing facilities located in the heart of Canada’s ‘Discovery District’ in downtown Toronto.

Simply put, Toronto Rehab is well-positioned to develop and test new products and deliver them to market as soon as possible―and companies are quickly discovering this.
