Patient meal times

Patient meal times may vary slightly by site, but are approximately:

Breakfast	8:00 a.m.
Lunch	12:00 p.m.
Dinner	5:00 p.m.

Some patients go to dining rooms for their meals, while other patients get their meals delivered to their rooms. Your care team can provide more information about meal times and service at your site.

If you need help with your food choices or have allergies, please let a member of your care team know. A dietitian can discuss your specific nutritional needs with you.

Cafeterias, cafes and vending machines

Most Toronto Rehab sites have cafeteria or café services available. Hours of operation vary by site and are posted. Most sites also have vending machines that sell drinks and/or snacks. More information about cafeterias, cafes and vending machines is available in Section 8 - Your convenience and comfort of your admissions binder. You can also ask your care team for more information.

Outside food

Visitors are welcome to bring outside food into the hospital for patients. Please check with the nurses on the unit about any food restrictions. If you do bring in food, please use re-sealable containers that can be stored in hospital refrigerators.  Patients can also order food for delivery to the hospital.
