Placements are initiated by the learning institutions and directed to the appropriate person at Toronto Rehab. If you are interested in a placement or elective, please contact your academic faculty.
Observership Program
The Observership Program allows external professionals/students to shadow one of our clinicians. If you are interested in this opportunity, you may obtain a Request for Professional Observer Status form through our Education Office at education.coordinator@torontorehab.on.ca.
Volunteering
Medical Undergraduate Education
Third and fourth year medical students can choose from a number of clinical or research electives posted on the University of Toronto website. All electives are coordinated by the Education Office at Toronto Rehab and all student inquiries should be redirected here to ensure consistency and tracking.
Clinical Clerks
Fourth year medical students may attend the Outpatient Rehabilitation Assessment clinics for a half day a week for a designated number of weeks. These may be coordinated either through supervisors/assistants or the Education Office. All clerks are tracked by the Education Office.
Medical Postgraduate Education
Postgraduate Medical Residents can choose from a number of clinical electives in any of Toronto Rehab’s Programs including Neuro Rehab (Stroke and ABI), Musculoskeletal Rehab, Spinal Cord Rehab, Cardiac Rehab & Secondary Prevention, Complex Continuing Care, Geriatrics and Geriatric Psychiatry. Inquiries should be directed to Nancy Turner turner.nancy@torontorehab.on.ca to ensure correct registration/appointment with the University of Toronto. |
