Education & Learning

At Toronto Rehab, we believe that education is integral to excellence in patient care and research.  We pride ourselves as an academic teaching hospital that provides exemplary learning opportunities to students, staff, patients & families, and the public. Our commitment to ongoing education is reflected in many ways, including:
  • our strong partnerships with educational institutions

  • our innovative models of learning

  • our success in attracting students who want to make a difference in people’s lives

  • our exemplary patient and public education programs

  • our status as a trusted source of knowledge to others

As a fully affiliated teaching hospital of the University of Toronto and over 40 other national and international academic institutions, we offer learning opportunities and scholarships to students from numerous health care professions, as well as research and health administration.

Our innovative student interprofessional education (IPE) program has been instituted since 2004 and continues to grow.  Health care professionals are supported in developing their clinical and teaching skills through faculty development workshops, continuing professional development opportunities, mentorship, tuition assistance and library services.

We provide education to patients & families by giving them tools and resources to help them through the rehabilitation process and into the community. We also strive to share our expertise in rehabilitation and complex continuing care by offering education sessions to the public and external health care professionals through our Conferences & Events.
