Health Care Professionals

Advance your practice and your career.

If you’re a regulated health professional looking for a chance to take your career to the next level, you’ve come to the right place. Here’s why:

Contribute to an organization known for its excellence
Toronto Rehab is a teaching and research hospital fully affiliated with the University of Toronto and home to one of the fastest growing and most advanced rehabilitation research programs in North America.

Choose from diverse patient populations
Follow your interests and build your clinical skills and rehabilitation expertise in spinal cord, cardiac, neuro, musculoskeletal or geriatric rehabilitation or complex continuing care.

Work in exceptional interprofessional teams
Toronto Rehab is a recognized leader in interprofessional education and patient care—and home to some of the brightest and most talented people in health care. You’ll work with a dedicated team of professionals in a number of different disciplines, contributing your skills and expertise to ensure the best possible outcomes for your patients. You’ll participate in planning and decision-making to shape your program.

Continue your professional development
At Toronto Rehab, we foster a culture of knowledge and ongoing/lifelong learning. You’ll enhance your competencies and clinical skills through professional education—internal and external lectures, workshops and conferences, and online tools. You’ll work within your interprofessional team and your professional discipline to identify gaps in practice and to develop best practices. You’ll be mentored by leaders in your clinical program and discipline.

Participate in clinical research
We ask questions, solve problems and strive for breakthroughs that will allow our patients the best possible recovery. You’ll work side by side leading researchers, participate in clinical research and apply those discoveries to the care you provide.

Develop your supervisory and teaching skills
Toronto Rehab is one of only a handful of academic health sciences centres in Canada specializing in rehabilitation science. You’ll have the opportunity to supervise students and provide hands-on clinical training to some of the nearly 1,000 students a year that are placed with us from the University of Toronto and other universities across the province and country.

Experience rewarding relationships with patients and families
We help people regain their independence and their lives. Patient stays that are typically longer than in acute care allow you to develop rewarding relationships with patients and families as you help them rebuild their skills, confidence and quality of life. You’ll help them to set goals—and reach them.

Toronto Rehab offers competitive salaries and benefits and a work environment that supports the health and safety of our staff.
