 In July 2008 Aecon Buildings, a division of Aecon Group Inc., was selected by Toronto Rehab and Infrastructure Ontario to build and finance the redevelopment and expansion of University Centre. Aecon has helped to build many of Canada’s most famous landmarks – including the CN Tower, the St. Lawrence Seaway and the Calgary Olympic Oval. www.aecon.com

 

Infrastructure Ontario and the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care

Infrastructure Ontario and the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care are working with Toronto Rehab to redevelop University Centre. Infrastructure Ontario is a Crown corporation dedicated to managing some of the province’s larger and more complex infrastructure renewal projects – ensuring they are built on time and on budget. Stantec Architects (formerly Murphy Hilgers Architects Inc.)

Toronto Rehab engaged Stantec Architects to design the redeveloped University Centre facilities. The architectural firm had previously designed the main entrance, research labs, outpatient area and other spaces at Toronto Rehab’s Lyndhurst Centre. www.stantec.com
 

PRISM

University Health Network’s PRISM Partners Inc., is a project management company with expertise in complex large-scale health care redevelopment projects. PRISM is project managing our University Centre and E.W. Bickle Continuing Care Centre renovations/expansion projects, including the design and construction, government relations and approvals, cost control and decision-making processes.  www.prismpartners.ca
 

SIMS

Shared Information Management Systems, through our SIMS partnership, is responsible for planning, development and implementation of the information management needs associated with the redevelopment and expansion of University Centre.  www.simspartners.ca


Toronto Rehab Institute Foundation

The Toronto Rehab Foundation’s $60 million capital campaign, Everything Humanly Possible, funded a portion of the University Centre redevelopment. The Foundation is continuing to raise funds to support patient care, equipment and research. www.torontorehabfoundation.com
