Currently, only
University Centre has temporary changes to its facilities.
As of Tuesday, February 22, please use our new Elm Street entrance to enter and leave the hospital.
Renovation work in our East and North Wings has temporarily restricted access from the University Avenue entrance to many parts of the building.
Exceptions: you may still use the University Avenue entrance to reach the following destinations:
• Balance & Mobility Clinic 13th floor
• Dentistry 9th floor
• Dialysis 1st floor
• Occupational Therapy 8th floor
• Physiotherapy & Recreation Therapy 9th floor
• Speech Language Pathology 2nd floor
• Specialty Clinics 9th floor
• Timothy’s Coffee kiosk 1st floor
New signs have been installed to help you find your way and our staff and volunteers will be happy to assist you.
o The second floor cafeteria is closed due to renovations. Patients, families and visitors can visit Timothy’s in our main lobby, for a variety of food and beverage selections. The cafeteria will reopen in winter 2012
o Our patient care services remain in University Centre. However, a number of administrative departments have moved to off-site locations at 439 and 525 University Avenue

You may access the University Centre through the University Avenue or Elm Street (Ambulance) entrances (see map below).
Access to hospital
- Renovations are continuing on several floors in the East Wing and those areas are closed off for safety. However, most other areas of the building are accessible.
- You may access the University Centre through the University Avenue or Elm Street entrances (see map below).
- The Elm Street entrance (just west of University Avenue) has a convenient drive-through drop-off/pick-up zone and is the closest entry point to the inpatient units and many of our outpatient clinics.
Parking
There are several independently owned parking lots in the area. Here are just a few:
- Elm Place, 20 Murray Street (directly behind Toronto Rehab’s University Centre)
- Princess Margaret Hospital, Murray Street (directly behind Mount Sinai Hospital)
- Tract Parking Management (TPM), 250 Dundas Street West (north side of Dundas at Simcoe Street)
- All Park (north-east corner of Armoury and Centre Streets)
- Dundas and Edward Streets (northeast side of Dundas)
Refreshments
- The second floor cafeteria is closed for renovations. The Timothy’s kiosk in our main (University Avenue) lobby has a variety of food and beverages. There are also several restaurants in the area, including the cafeteria at Mt Sinai Hospital, next door to Toronto Rehab’s University Centre.
